Abstract
Recent legislative changes have opened the door for new and exciting financial products. Futures contracts on individual stocks and narrow indexes are expected to begin trading during the second quarter of 2002. This article examines some of the potential uses of single-stock futures and the cost savings in using these new instruments. A number of currently unanswered questions are raised.
